Rick Lemberg has a deep background in financial services, investment banking, connected cities, big data, start-up leadership, smart technologies, and international business. Based in Silicon Valley for his entire working life, Rick rose to become the youngest Senior Vice President globally for Investment Banks Shearson Lehman, Solomon Smith Barney and finally PaineWebber/UBS, each located on Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park & Palo Alto. He reached Top 100 Global status, President’s and Chairman’s Council by age 31.
Rick led 12 IPO’s as Broker of Record, including Atmel, Quickturn Design Systems, Adflex, Geoworks, and HMTT. Rick completed a spotless career in corporate services and investment banking in 2000 as leader of the Western States Corporate Services desk that he built from inception, with 40 brokers in the US and Mexico and 80 Stanford University MBA interns. After retirement from brokerage at age 39, Rick launched EarthHunt.com. From 2000 to 2008, EarthHunt was a top eBay auction group focused on original pre-1880 maps, antiquarian books and celebrity & university museum deaccession. EarthHunt.com operates today, most recently listing $37 million USD in Nitinol parts for KRL.
